Work Out With Kettlebells

Working Out With Kettlebells

There is no shortage of fitness gear lining the walls of gyms or available in the marketplace today. The question always comes down to what is going to be fun for you to use? If you don’t like what you do, you simply won’t want to do it and exercise will feel like work. That can be very tortuous and keep you from achieving the svelte body you have always longed for.

It’s a good thing god invented kettlebells several centuries ago. Yes, they HAVE been around that long. It’s just that they recently started getting mainstream props, which leads the untrained eye to think they are new.

Calling kettlebells fun is an understatement. Not only are they fun, but they are exceptional and unrivaled when it comes to a one-stop-shop training tool. They can build muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, balance, cardiovascular fitness and cognitive function in one smooth swing. Show me another tool that has that potential.

You would think that all of those benefits alone would make working out with kettlebells fun, but that’s only the beginning. Let’s look at the time frame it takes to exercise. A lot of people have issues with following a legit workout plan because they are short on time. A fun factor with kettlebells is they have this ability to pulverize every fiber of your being inside of 30 minutes. Heck, you can even do an express workout inside of 20 minutes, and not a single muscle group will be left out.

That’s very fun, especially if you are a busy corporate employee who works long hours or a mother who has to get your kids to school and run a batch of errands before midday. What’s even more fun is you can take a kettlebell with you to the soccer field or office and squeeze in quick, short bouts of exercises when you have down time. Remember, accumulated exercise is just as beneficial as long duration.

To add to this point, the kettlebell makes a great travel companion. If you are doing a road trip and want to stay in shape while gone, you can throw a kettlebell or two in your trunk or on the floor behind your seat and be assured that you can get workouts in.

Let’s not forget the effect kettlebells have on your body too. What’s more fun than burning a ton of calories and creating amazing, gorgeous, sexy definition that will drop the jaws of even the most discerning of onlookers? Not much, and kettlebells can do that very thing. All it takes is patience and the use of proper technique at all times. By J Russell Hart
