5 Tips for a Good Night’s Sleep

*

Are you having difficulties sleeping at night? You might need to start cleaning the bedroom.

A survey conducted by the National Sleep Foundation revealed that people sleep better when their bedrooms are comfortable and clean. In fact, nine out of 10 people said having a comfortable mattress and comfortable pillows are important to get a good night’s sleep.

So remove sleeping pills on your option and start the cleaning.

Here are five tips to ensure your bedroom is clean:

  • Wash your sheets every week

Dust mites that trigger allergies and asthma are often found on bed sheets. You can keep them out from your bed by washing your blankets, sheets, and pillowcases regularly. Or you can also put dust-mite proof covers on your pillows, comforters, and mattresses.

  • Vacuum regularly

Cleaning your bedroom does not only mean sweeping or wiping. You also need to vacuum regularly to ensure that dust mites are kicked out of your bedroom. However, make sure that the vacuum cleaner that you’ll use is efficient like Rainbow Cleaning System, the ONLY vacuum cleaner CERTIFIED as an air purifier by the American Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM).

Another good reason is Rainbow uses Mother Nature’s most powerful element, water, as its first and main line of filtration. It uses the world’s most advanced filtration system that maintains constant airflow: (1) water bath that captures over 99% of household dirt; (2) separator, a dynamic filter designed to increase exposure of dirt to the water; and (3) HEPA filter which is 99% efficient in capturing particles 0.3 mircons or greater in size.

  • Use Light and Breezy Window Treatments

Aside from the fact that air doesn’t circulate well inside your room, blinds and heavy, dry clean only drapes catch dust hastily. You can try washable curtains and roller shades as an alternative.

It’s also recommended to wipe window frames and glass regularly to prevent mold and mildew.

  • Declutter Your Bedroom

Don’t store many things in your bedroom. The more things you have, the more cleaning you’ll need to do. You can also choose to move books, magazines, and decorative items to the living room so you can cut back cleaning.

  • Protect Bedroom Air

Dust mites and mold prefer warm and damp room. What you can do is when it’s warm, you may use your air conditioner instead of utilizing outdoor breeze which may bring in more dust mites. By turning up the air conditioner, you are killing the dust mites. Dust mites can’t breed at temperatures below 77 F.
